Dave Leo is the owner/operator of Hiking Buddy. Dave is a full-time Cody resident with 20+ years' hiking and guiding experience in the Rockies.
Complying with local regulations, Hiking Buddy, LLC is permitted, insured, and CPR/AED/First Aid certified.

Easy/Moderate, 2.54 miles, Loop
300' elevation gain, 5,700' max.
This wonderful little loop gives you an abundant sampling of Cody, WY nature. A pleasant stroll alongside a shrub-lined creek, up a few easy/moderate hills to meandering and undulating trails through dry boulder-lined gulleys while admiring stunning expansive basin and mountain views.
Easy/Moderate, 6.0 miles, Loop
721' elevation, 5,931' max.
A spirited, scenic tour of beautiful sage, juniper, and red rock country. Start our trek near twin lakes, wandering alongside a dry creek, slowly ascending rolling hills to the ridgeline return. Wind around countless boulders, brush and trees and skirt the edge of a rocky cliff to your prize, a large natural arch.
Moderate, 5.0 miles, Out and Back - 1,468' elevation gain, 6,470' max.
Head up a rough and rocky, Jeep Road. The elevation steadily increases with every step. Several switchbacks in the road changes our views constantly and
keeps us thrilled on this demanding hike. Descend a narrow hiker trail to the cave entrance. Return down via various serpentine trails to the trailhead.

Moderate, 4.0 miles, Out and Back 1,300' elevation gain, 6,800' max.
Warm up on a shrub-lined hiker trail before traversing a few rolling hills. An
amazing sheer-walled canyon begins your steep ascent. We rest frequently on this steep section with loose rock, before reaching the entrance of a thin forest. Pleasantly stroll a narrow valley to our historic destination.
Moderate/Hard, 6.0 miles, Out and Back 1,060' elevation gain, 6,128' max.
This dynamic hike begins with an easy stroll on a wide dirt path in a stunning canyon beside a large flowing river. Turn uphill and climb slowly along the canyon rim. Adventurous hikers stay close to the rim and enjoy Class2 rock scrambling before reaching the famous, local rock formation.
Moderate/Hard, 8.2 miles, Peak Summit
2,260' elevation gain, 7,798' max. Ascend slowly and steadily through a picturesque sheer-walled canyon. Catch your breath then trek a long valley before pushing up a grassy gulley to the saddle that overlooks stunning valley and high peaks. Traverse two rocky false peaks to your prize - a cliff-edge summit with amazing 360 views.

Hard, 10.5 miles, Peak Summit
2,024' elevation gain, 7,643' max. Leisurely ramble through rolling sage prairie while admiring sandstone hills. Cross a babbling brook, climb dozens of switchbacks around volcanic rock formations to a scenic saddle. Trek up a steep face, through a mossy forest to the modest rocky summit. Soak up the panoramic valley and mountain views.
Hard, 9.4 miles, Peak Summit
3,316' elevation gain, 8,573' max.
A climb from the very first step, this hike is a workout with a big reward. Slowly ascend a steep rocky canyon rim with fun Class2 boulder scrambling. Jaw dropping canyon and river views throughout. Briefly cross grassland, meander through a lovely, thin forest to reach your summit sanctuary.
Hard, 12.6 miles, Loop
3,096' elevation gain, 7,884' max.
This epic journey is a carousel of natural beauty. Being by meandering a boulder field, beside sheer cliffs, up a steep gulley to a roller coaster of several small peaks. The pinnacle is climbing to a massive rock monolith with 360-degree views. Descend through a flower-filled basin, sleepy valley, and a box canyon.

Easy/moderate, 4 miles, Out-and-Back See the most fascinating manmade and the most stunning natural sites in Cody! This scenic paved path meanders alongside a river in a canyon to the base of dam. See the sensational Shoshone River, impressive bridges, rock and cliff formations and sheer rock walls that are some of the oldest on the planet!
Easy, 2 miles, Loop *2-person min.*
Visit historic buildings, explore world-famous hotels, boutique museums, national landmarks, and the sites of Cody historic events and mystery. Hike an easy nature trail to a scenic overlook with panoramic views of nearby mountain peaks, distant mountain ranges and the town of Cody below.
Easy, 0.7 mile, *2-person min.* Available Wed - Sat, 3pm - 8pm
Take a private, guided tasting tour through this iconic western town. Visit four local breweries and taste 12 samples of many varieties of Wyoming craft beer. Using your souvenir sampler mug and score card, we will sample, discuss and rate 4-ounces of each beer.

To Reserve - Click the blue Details & Booking button, select a date and time and input your contact and credit card information. A 1-person non-refundable Deposit/Reservation will be charged. You will receive and text and email confirmation along with instructions and directions to the meet-up location and time. For additional members of your group, payment will be processed before your hike at the meet-up location. Credit Cards, Cash and Venmo are accepted forms of payment. Multiple forms of payment and splitting the check with multiple parties is acceptable.
To Cancel - Text 307-578-7962 and cancel. Your 1-person Deposit/Reservation is non-refundable. If there are additional members of your group, no additional cancellation fees will apply, and your reservation will be cancelled.
